File with a .CATPART extension contains geometric and structural data of a 3D model of a complete project of a product. As a result of connecting many CATPART files of a given product – a .CATPRODUCT may be created.

The CATIA V5 software, which is using CATPART files, is utilised for 3D CAD modelling in a productive process. Files – parts referred to as the “CATPart”, can store for instance elements of machines, shielding or devices’ elements.
