CCD is a disc image file created by CloneCD tool. CCD files save control information, such as header data and track location, for a corresponding IMG and SUB files.

CCD format allows users to create a carbon copy of given disc that preserves all security settings. CCD image files mounted as virtual disks will always work correctly, an important feature especially in case of games and applications. Further development of CloneCD application is discontinued, and the latest version was released in 2016.
