CIR is a legacy CAD file format associated with EDAbase, a PCB design software and CIR files are used to store project data.

EDAbase project has been discontinued as it was lagging behind more advanced software of the same type available on the market. CIR files can still be found machines with installed Windows XP or 2000 systems, for which EDAbase was developed. The last version of EDAbase was released in 2014.
