File with a .DMD extension contains a model of a database – structure of the data and relations between its elements. It is utilised for purpose of databases modelling and creating them.

DMD files are utilised by the Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler software, used in relational modelling with no data. Models can be depicted within it with descriptions or graphics.
