DTA is a file extension used by various programs and applications, and is supported by many operating systems. DTA can store data in binary or ASCII text format.

DTA files are used for storing information required for given application to run properly. DTA format are also one of the most important components used by Turbo Pascal programming language (rarely used now). Turbo Pascal’s DTA files store data which are referenced in the code.
