The DTS extension possess files that store audio data. It is an encoding format that uses audio compression and allows you to record 5.1 sound (5 channels for mid and high tones and 1 channel for low tones). This allows you to obtain a surround sound effect with the appropriate location of the individual speakers. The DTS format is characterized by a transfer speed of 1.5 Mb / s and a low compression ratio. This allows for very good sound quality.
DTS files are supported by many playback applications, but some of them require the installation of the appropriate codec.
