Files with EDZ extension are used by advanced production automation design and management platform developed by EPLAN. EPLAN software allow users to design complex electrical control systems or fluid control systems.

Macros stored in EDZ can be easily transformed into project modules with just a single click of a mouse button, or be used to store project settings. EPLAN platform is available for Windows 7 Pro or newer.

EDZ files use compression and should be unpacked before importing using an archiving tool.
