EZP files are used by AutoCAD Escad software for storing backup copies of electrical circuits designs. Escad is no longer developed – Autodesk decided to shut-down the project on December 31, 2013.

EZP files store data compressed with ZIP method for easier storage on external devices. Escad was desingned with German market in mind, so most EZP files were in German. Escad has been replaced by AutoCAS Electrical software application.
