The FLIC file extension is used by the Autodesk Animator animation program. The animations in the FLIC file are created with individual frames (frames) displayed at the appropriate time one after another. Lossless compression is used to save data in such a file. This allows the file to be saved in a smaller memory space.

Files that store this type of data more often received the FLI extension. It is now a rarely used format and is considered obsolete.
