FLS files were supported by older versions of mobile operating systems, such as Symbian, Windows Mobile, and a niche operating system Bada. FLS extension was associated with a simplified version of Flash called Adobe Flash Lite.

FLS files stored sets of audio files used by Flash-based applications. FLS files are no longer used and Flash Lite project has been discontinued. All mobile operating systems that supported FLS files are also no longer developed.
