File with a .GSLIDES extension contains a Google Slides presentation – its URL address where it is stored on the Google Drive. It is a link to a file stored in the Internet, not containing any physical data of the presentation. Similarly like a PPTX file, presentations on the Google Drive may contain texts, pictures, graphs, charts, animations or videos.

Google Slide provides interface similar to office suite software designed for creation of presentations, like Microsoft PowerPoint. The Google Drive service, besides disc space for storing your files, provides also a suite of basic office services: Doc - Documents, Spreadsheets - Sheets and Slides – Presentations. The Google Drive application can be installed locally in Windows system or MacOS in order to synchronise files with a remote disc on the local PC.
