Files with the .JEF extension contain templates of seams and sewing instructions for creating computer-based embroidery in accordance with the Janome standard.

JEF files are used by sewing machines manufactured by Janome and run Janome’s embroidery design software. The format is, however, also recognized by the Embrid Suite software.
