Files with the .LAY extension contain DVD project metadata that is only used internally by the DVD Studio Pro software to create DVDs. The files are created and stored by the program in the VIDEO_TS directory of the project.

If you burn a DVD, DVD Studio Pro does not place LAY files on the disc. Before burning a disc with other software based on a project created in DVD Studio Pro, exclude the LAY format from the selection of files to be placed on the disc.
