Files with the .LOCALSTORAGE extension contain web browser settings or local data of browser extensions. The data is saved in an SQLite database format and can be opened using the SQLite app. The browsers that use WebKit and create LOCALSTORAGE files are Google Chrome and Apple Safari. The files can, for example, contain the in-game data of a web-based-version of Angry Birds, including levels and other settings.
