MFD file format was developed by Adobe Systems Incorporated for storing font metrics. MFD standard is no longer maintained or supported, although current versions of many Adobe tools can handle such files.
MFD files store style settings, size and font type. The format is based on PostScript standard that offers comprehensive font customization options. MFD files are supported on Windows and MacOS systems.
