MTP is a audio file format native to MadTracker 2, an audio tracking software. MTP files contains track pattern applied to MT2 audio module. Pattern is exported using ‘Save’ option accessed via ‘Pattern’ menu.

MadTracker software was developed in 2001 by single-person company owned by Yannicka Delwiche. The project was thought as a unique solution that combines old and new music techniques.
