MVL is a proprietary 3D/4D image file format developed by Medison company, now a subsidiary of Samsung. MVL files store medical data obtained with measuring and monitoring devices.

MVL typically contain ultrasonography images. MVL files are thus mostly found on hard disks of medical equipment. MVL files are less and less common today as newer 4D image formats are introduced along with more advanced ultrasound medical devices.
