OBD is a file extension used by Office Binder software. Office Binder tool was included in Microsoft Office 95, 97 and 2000 and allowed users to merge document files created with different versions of Office application.

Office Binder saved data in OBD using OLE2.0 technology. Such solution enabled editing of various files without the need of using application in which each file was created.
