OBF is a binary file format used by GPS navigation application for Android operating system. OBF files are used by OsmAnd for rendering maps. OBF files store maps used when the application is working in offline mode.

OBF files store such data as placement of buildings, roads, tracks, paths, biking paths, natural objects, etc. Information in OBF files allows users to created custom navigation routes without access to the internet.
