PWP is an extension given to files related to older image organization software called PhotoWorks. PWP files were used to store color graphics. This format was functionally similar to SWF files. PWP files are files, the most common use of which was their posting and making them available for download via the Internet.

PWP files are rare these days and the format is considered obsolete.
