File with an .SB extension contains a project created in the first version of Scratch – software used for designing and creating. Within the file, there are stored all information on the project and the data imported into it – music, images and code written in Scratch programming language. It can be compiled as JAR archive and run within a browser.

Scratch software was created in MIT and was formerly used to create animations and games. Within project files there may be small games or interactive software. There is an option to use it in form of a web application or as a desktop program – for Windows, Linux or Mac OS systems.
