SDD is a file format similar ot the format used by PowerPoint software application. SDD file contains multimedia presentation created using StarImpress, a tool included in StarOffice suite. SDD format was used by StarImpress version 5.

StarOffice is no longer developed and is replaced by OpenOffice that still supports SDD files. StarImpress version 6 used SXI format instead of SDD format, while OpenOffice uses ODP format.
