SLM is an extension given to files used by a simulation game called Second Life. This is a title developed by Linden Research, Inc. The player must have an account and use the resources of servers managed by Linden Research.

Second Life takes place in the virtual online world and its virtual economy. SLM files are files used by the game to store a mesh of 3D objects. They are the basis for the visualization of 3D models.
