SNAG file stores screenshot image created with Snagit tool available for Windows and Mac operatins systems. SNAG is a proprietary format and files of this type can only be edited using native program. SNAG file data is stored in bitmap format with vector objects added by the user.

Snagit program allows user to edit SNAG files by adding shapes, arrows, markers, text etc. The finished project can be exported into more popular raster formats.
