File with a .TED extension contains map’s data – a level for a single or multiple players, such as landform with its weather conditions and initialisers, start location, equipment and units for a game designed in the Alamo game engine. They enable changing game’s conditions by modifying and saving user’s maps.

The Alamo game engine is utilised in the Star Wars: Empire at War game series and Universe at War, produced by Petroglyph Games.
