UB is a legacy audio format no longer in use. UB format was popular among Amiga users who used the computer to compose simple music tracks.

UB format doesn’t use any form of compression and supports up to 8-bit audio data. Besides Amiga, the format was also supported on Q40- and Q60-based systems running under QDOS operating system. Such systems offered a 20 kHz DAC which could easily handle UB audio data.
