Files with the .XSB extension contain a set of sounds and signals, with the distinction that said audio files are not coded into the file, but only referred to by it. The actual audio file data in wave form is stored by adequate XWB files. They are used in various types of video games, such as Gas Powered Games, and are by default stored in a subfolder of the relevant application named Sounds. XSB files are created by cross-platform software for audio creation called Microsoft XACT, which is often used for video game sound production, as well as locating said sounds in the right places in the game.
