Files with the ZIF extension were used by the Zoomcreator software and the service on the Zoomram website. Both of these tools were used to publish picture albums on the web. ZIF files were used to store bitmap images, which allowed their content to be displayed in multiple resolutions. This solution allowed for simple manipulation, especially in the case of large images.

Zoomrama is a flash based tool. Currently, the ZIF format is rarely used and is considered obsolete.
