PDM is a file format used by applications created with Visual Basic. PDM is a text file that contains one or more code scripts used by application’s installer. Scripts also store data such as script name, resource location, and installation directory path.
File format conversion is the process of transforming a file from one format (referred to as "BPB") to another (referred to as "PDM"). This may be necessary for various reasons. For example, BPB file may be incompatible with the software or device we want to use to open or edit it. In such cases, converting the file from format BPB to format PDM becomes essential.

File extensions are not normally displayed to users. To change this, go to Control Panel, select Appearance and Personalization and Folder Options. Next, select the View and find the option "Hide extensions for known file types". The option should be deselected (cleared) and confirmed with OK.
