Files with the DTSX extension are used by the SQL Server relational database management system. DSTX files are used to store the settings by which data is exchanged between databases. This allows you to integrate data from multiple sources, not only databases, and store them in one place.

DTSX files are handled by a tool included with Microsoft SQL Server called Microsoft Integration Services.
