ITDB is an extension specific to files associated with the iTunes multimedia file playback program. This program uses ITDB files to save the database of multimedia files. Information about these files is saved in the SQLite format (a database system that supports the SQL language).
ITDB files were first used with the arrival of version 8 of iTunes. It was possible due to a new feature called Genius introduced to the program. iTunes is an Apple product that runs on OS X and Windows.
