Files with the MSCX extension are characteristic of a music notation editing program called MuseScore. MSCX files are used to store documents created in the program. MSCX files can contain simple sheet music for a single instrument as well as complete extensive scores with parts for individual instruments. In addition, there may be information about the number of instruments, composition or copyright.
