SASS is an extension specific to the Syntactically Awesome Stylesheets scripting language. SASS files are used to store code written in that language. Once a SASS file is created, its contents can be interpreted or compiled into the standard CSS stylesheet format. The syntax of the language is similar to that of Haml.
