SEP is a graphics file format that can store one image or whole image database as one file. Multi-image SEP files contain also data in text form necessary for reconstructing the original image.

SEP raster graphics file were never popular and are now rarely used. SEP files contain references to TIFF files. TIFF format is one of the most popular format used for preparing digital materials for printing (DTP).
