SFZ is an extension of files which are compressed data generated on the basis of files in the SoundFont format. SFZ are sound files that are created on the basis of OGG compression. These are samples that can also contain items such as loops, waveform generator-specific effects, etc. These files can also contain MIDI-compatible instrument definitions.

SFZ files are files that are often associated with an audio editing program called Awave Studio.
