File with a .STY extension contains a definition of a style of a LeTeX document – information on formulas adjustments, line styles, labels and other appearance properties stored in a text format. STY files are often referred to by LaTeX documents.

STY files are utilised to format documents stored with the syntax of LaTeX – TEX or LTX. The definitions within STY files start with a slash and the comments are indicated by the % symbol.
