Files with the TBN extension are used by an application for playing multimedia files called Kodi. This program uses TBN files to store thumbnails of video or audio files that are in the user's multimedia collection. This allows you to pre-preview the contents of the original file. TBN files are actually JPG images.

Kodi was developed by the XBMC Team and is distributed under the GNU license model. It is available for many system platforms.
