TPZ is a file format used by software installed on Amazon Kindle devices. This reader uses TPZ files to store e-books, which are mostly compiled from scans of older books. This file also has embedded fonts. The file is most often stored with a file containing metadata about that file.

The TPZ file can be protected against its illegal use by the DRM system. Files not protected by the publisher can also be opened in, for example, Caliber.
