VSS file format is used by one of Microsoft Office tools, namely Microsoft Visio. VSS file stores shapes and elements, and various connectors (arrows, lines). Microsoft Visio tool allows users to create flowcharts, diagrams, objects for business porcess visualization. Projects are stored as VSD, and can be imported by other Office applications.
