W64 is an extension given to audio files whose format was developed by Sony. W64 files are based on the WAV format and are technically audio containers. Unlike the WAV format, W64 files can be larger than 4GB.

W64 files can store 5.1 surround sound with an audio depth of 24 bits with a sampling rate of 96 or 192kHz. The file format itself is 64 bit. W64 files are supported by many digital audio playback and processing programs.
