File Extension XVA
Full Name Citrix Xen Virtual Appliance Format

XVA is an extension that is specific to files used by a software called XenServer for system virtualization. XVA are files that are used to store images of a virtual machine installed in XenServer. These files include complete data of the pre-installed system along with applications, settings, etc.

File Extension VMDK

What is file format conversion?

File format conversion is the process of transforming a file from one format (referred to as "XVA") to another (referred to as "VMDK"). This may be necessary for various reasons. For example, XVA file may be incompatible with the software or device we want to use to open or edit it. In such cases, converting the file from format XVA to format VMDK becomes essential.

So, how can we perform XVA to VMDK file conversion? Fortunately, there are many tools and computer programs available that enable file format conversion. These tools work by reading the data from the file in format XVA and transforming it into format VMDK. This allows the preservation of the original information contained in the file, even after changing its format. Below you will find a list of XVA to VMDK converters.
