What is a LIF file?
LIF is a graphics file containing one or more magnified images of objects in raster format. Images are taken by laser scanning microscope and saved using dedicated software application Leica Aplication Suite. LIF is a binary file that stores data in XML format.
LIF format was developed by Leica and is used mainly in various laboratories.
