What is a SLC file?
SLC file format was developed in 1994 by 3D Systems company. SLC files store 2 1/2D geometric models, that is whose third dimension depends on object’s cross-section. Data needed to procure SLC documents can be acquired directly from CAD objects or CT scans.
SLC files dave data in ASCII text format. SLC file structure consists of three sections: Header Section, Sampling Table Section, and Contour Data Section. Contents of SLC files can be printed using compatible 3D printers.

If you cannot open the SLC file on your computer - there may be several reasons. The first and most important reason (the most common) is the lack of a suitable software that supports SLC among those that are installed on your device.

Is there one way to open unknown files?
Many files contain only simple text data.
