What is a MREC file?
MREC is a video file that contains sequence of effects created with MADRIX program using "recording" function. MREC files used only by MADRIX software applications.
In order to open a MREC file, Ctrl + Alt + R key combination must be pressed in the application. MADRIX is an advance LED lighting control software application developed by a German company, which offers various software and hardware solutions for lighting installations.

How to open MREC files
If you cannot open the MREC file on your computer - there may be several reasons. The first and most important reason (the most common) is the lack of a suitable software that supports MREC among those that are installed on your device.

The second and more difficult to do is associate the MREC file extension to the corresponding software in the Windows Registry.
Is there one way to open unknown files?
Many files contain only simple text data. It is possible that while opening unknown files (e.g. MREC) with a simple text editor like Windows Notepad will allow us to see some of the data encoded in the file.
