Files with the .EXX extension contain intermediary data created during the development of multimedia applications. During the development of apps, EXX files were saved together with other objects in the Linkway software directory. They contained the displayed messages. It was unique to the easy application development software Linkway, which was utilized on IBM platforms running the DOS operating system in the beginning of the 1990s.
