GMP is a project file created with Geomorph software tool developed by Patrice St-Gelais. Geomorph is available for Linux platform; the current version was released in 2016.

GMP files store 2D geographic maps (with 3D render option) based on so called height fields. GMP files saved data as PNG images of size up to 4096 pixels. Geomorph is distributed under the open source GPL license.
