File with a .QMG extension contains an image which is an element of graphic of s Samsung mobile phone, stored in a proprietary binary format preventing from read by other programs. QMG stores a part of an SMT theme, for instance a wallpaper, button or some other graphic element.

QMG files are transformed version of the PNG format, created in the process of creating a theme, they cannot be opened directly. Along with other files constituting elements of a theme and the XML files, they contain information on arrangement. Files are compiled and packed into SMT format in the Samsung Theme Designer software.
