File with a WDB extension contains a simple relational database stored in proprietary format of Microsoft Works. Because MS Works software was supported as a simplified office suite only until the year 2010 and then substituted by simple version of MS Office 2010 starter, WDB file read can be difficult.

WDB files are similar to MS Access files – MDB, however, they can be opened in this format only after exporting it to DBF format of MS Works. Some of WDB files can be imported to Excel or to MS Works format. Some WDB files can be imported to Excel or SCV file format using the Works Database Converter tool, however, it does not guarantee correctness and coherence of data within the database.
