WIMP is seldom found file extension used by older versions of Microsoft Windows systems. WIMP files contain simple images used for representing software cursors. The extension was supported by both 32- and 64-bit versions of Windows.

WIMP was not a very popular format – alternative format such as CUR, ANI, or ICO were more widely used at that time. The above-mentioned files can be edited with various dedicated tool, whereas WIMP cannot be converted or edited at all.
