ZIX is the extension used in files supported by WinZix. Such files often appear on P2P networks for data exchange between users. These are compressed archives. While the files themselves are generally safe, the WinZix program needed to extract them installs malicious spyware on the system.

Installing WinZix is not recommended. This operation causes the appearance of advertising content in the system, which makes it difficult to work in the system.
